Ana Helena Fabrin
she/her From Presidente Prudente, SP, Brazil. Ana started dancing when she was two years old, having most of my training at Escola de Danca Beth Liborio, where she achieved her Professional/Technical Course in Advanced 1 of the Royal Academy of Dance. Through Promodanca, she received an offer to finish my training at Pacific DanceArts . The following year Ana joined CCB and this is her 3rd season with us. Besides dancing , She has a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education and Personal Training. Ana also like to spend her free time watching movies, walking in parks and hiking. |
Angela Lorenzs
she/her Born and raised in Joaçaba, Brazil, she has trained Ballet since 5 years old. She graduated her ballet studies at Guaira Theater, gathering experience in many styles, such as classical ballet, jazz and contemporary. Due to her contemporary skills she earned a scholarship to join Lamondance in Vancouver, Canada. She joined Coastal City Ballet in 2018, ever since she has performed in many roles with the company and has been taught by renowned professionals. When she's not dancing she likes to knit and crochet as her favorite hobby. |
Ayana Takahira
she/her Originally from Hyogo, Japan and trained at Alberta Ballet School where she graduated in 2021. During her ABS year, she has danced Garland waltz at Alberta Ballet company’s production. She won first prize in NBA Osaka Ballet competition, third prize in The Ballet Competition Osaka and a finalist in Asian Grand Prix. When she’s not dancing, she loves to watch k-pop, eat candy and drink coffee. This is her 2nd season at CCB |
Alice Guillot
she/her Originally from France, Alice did her professional dance training at Central School of Ballet (UK). Upon graduation, she worked as a freelancer in London, including dancing in an opera at the Royal Opera House. She then joined Coastal City Ballet where she has enjoyed dancing both corps de ballet and soloist roles such as Cinderella. This is her 3rd season with CCB. |
Ana-Maria schauer
She/her She was born in Salzburg, Austria, and received her dance training at SIBA, Salzburg International Ballet Academy. After graduating in 2019, she joined Europaballet St. Pölten and performed classical, neoclassical and contemporary pieces in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary or Canada. Some of her favorite experiences were performing ballets of Choreographer Peter Breuer, being part of three productions at the Vienna State Opera, and dancing at the Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. She’s excited to dance with Coastal City Ballet and keep learning as a dancer and artist. |
Anna Robinson
she/her Anna was born in Samut Prakarn, Thailand. She came to Canada when she was almost 2 years old, and is turning 21 this upcoming August. Anna started dancing when she was 5 years old and became a Deas Island Dance alumni in 2020. Anna successfully completed all the levels of the Royal Academy of Dance Examinations. She furthered her studies, as she became a registered teacher with her Classical Ballet Technique Studies diploma, through the RAD. She competed locally and at a provincial level with solos, trios and group work for numerous years, and went on to placing 16th in British Colombia and Alberta with her classical solo in 2015. Anna participated in the Opening Ceremonies Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Games and received the Irena Reid Memorial Scholarship with the Vancouver Ballet Society. She is now entering her 3rd season with Coastal City. |
Alondra Epigmenio
she/her Originally from Cancun, Mexico. She finished her raining at the ProBallet Bridge Program post-graduate program. This is my first season at Coastal City Ballet. Throughout my career, I am proud to say that I have won several national and international competitions like 1st place of the American Academy of Ballet, Gold medal winner of the Concurso Internacional de Danza CIAD, as well as, an honorific mention for best conceptual design, 1st choreographic show at the XIII Concurso Nacional de Ballet Infantil y Juvenil, dancing at the Palacio de Bellas Artes. |
Brenda Gonçalves
she/her Originally from São Paulo, Brazil and trained at Kleine Szene where she graduated in 2015. She joined CCB in 2019 and has danced several roles including Candide Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, Spanish in The Nutcracker and was one of the rehearsers of Cinderella, working with the kids roles. She is passionate about classical ballet and created two pieces for CCB online shows: 'Opus n.1' in 2021 and 'Love Passes Like a Dream' in 2022. It's her 5th season with us. |
Bridget Crawford
she/her Bridget was born and raised in Richmond, British Columbia. She trained at her local dance studio Defy Gravity Dance Company, where she studied numerous styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, lyrical, and hip hop. Bridget competed in many dance competitions growing up and has received multiple awards for both solo and group performances. In 2018, she was also selected to participate in the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Awards. After graduating in 2020, Bridget joined Coastal City Ballet for the 2021 fall season. Outside of dancing, Bridget is also simultaneously pursuing an undergraduate degree at UBC. |
Eduardo Sanchez
he/him Eduardo Vera, originally from Mexico City, began his studies at the National Center for the Arts, to later become part of the Ardentia Dance Company, he has danced with various traditional and contemporary classical repertoire companies in renowned theaters such as the Auditorio Nacional, Palace of Fine Arts, Esperanza Iris City Theater, Miguel Covarrubias Hall, Guillermina Bravo Dance Theater, Raúl Flores Canelo Theater, Theater of the Arts, and others. It is his first season with CCB. |
Giovanni Rizzo
he/him Born in Brazil, Giovanni started his classical training in 2008 with Elizabeth Santos. He was a principal dancer at Ballet Vera Bublitz since 2011, under the direction of Carla Bublitz, director of Ballet Vera Bublitz and delegate of the Brazilian Dance Council. Giovanni received many awards as such as Best Dancer at Bento em Dança competition in 2012 and 2014. He dance with Lamondance in 2017/2018. Since 2018 is company member of Coastal City Ballet. |
Gustavo Sanchez
he/him Born in Mexico City, raised at Coacalco (State of Mexico). Has danced in theatres in Mexico like Fine Arts Palace, City Theatre "Esperanza Iris", Auditorium "Gota de Plata", "Sala Miguel Covarrubias" and others. Won 3rd place at the Prix Luisa Diaz 2019. He loves animals, spend time cooking/baking and hanging out with friends.This is his first season dancing with the CCB |
Guillermo Gonzales
he/him Originally form Mexico, he started studying at the School of Fine Arts in Toluca, México (2011) Then got accepted into the Cuban National Ballet School “Fernando Alonso”(2018), where he graduated as a bachelor in arts; there he had the opportunity to dance as a soloist in his final state examination. He had the opportunity to dance ballets like Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and more. This is his first season dancing at Coastal City Ballet, he's willing to learn new dance styles and keep improving scenic skills. |
Izabel Pearce
she/her Izabel was born in Truro, Cornwall and started dancing there before moving to Canada. Izabel has danced with The Dance Lab, Royal Winnipeg as a guest performer, Sunshine Coast Nutcracker and Royal City youth ballet. This is her second season with Coastal City Ballet as Company member but she appeared as a guest in many previous productions. |
João Gonçalves
he/him originally from the state of sao paulo, brazil. he began his training at kleine szene where he graduated in 2019. he participated in several competitions in his country and was rewarded with scholarships in the uk. italy and the united states for the best classical ballet study programs. he has extensive experience in the vaganova method and pas de deux, as well as in the modalities of american tap dance, jazz, neoclassical and contemporary. it is his firs season with coastal city ballet. |
Marco Esccer
he/him Bachelor in Ballet by the National Ballet and Contemporary School of Mexico City. He danced in Mexico with Ballet Independiente, La Infinita Cia, Prodanza Mx, Convexus Ballet, Danza Capital, among others. In Vancouver he's been dancing at CCB since sept 2019. Spring artist of 12 Minutes Max at The Dance Centre and with Isak Enquist at DOTE 2022. Currently ancillary artist with Dance West Networks. |
Mariana Gomes
she/her From Presidente Prudente-SP, Brazil. She’s only danced at her old school, Ballare Escola de Dança, in her hometown. She won some regional and local competitions with solos, duos, trios and groups in classical ballet, ballet contemporary, jazz dance, lyrical, contemporary and tap dance. When the sun is out (which is a rare event in Vancouver) she likes to do some outdoor activities, like go for a walk in the park, watch the sunset by the water and etc. When not, she likes to just hang out with friends, watch some movie/tv show and sometimes just stay in enjoying her own company. |
MAria abrunhoza
she/her From Maringá -PR, Brazil. Maria trained classical ballet at Alma Bailarina Escola de Dança where she danced roles like Sugar Plum in the Nutcracker, Medora in Lé Jardin Animeé and Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty. Abrunhoza is certified by American Ballet Theatre in Level 5A, with merit. in 2018 SHE ATTENDED the Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive and also Miami City ballet School south American program with a full scholarship. In 2019 she attended Miami City Ballet School Summer Intensive under the direction of Arantxa Ochoa. She´s really thankful for her family and friends' support. |
Olivia Patiakas
she/her Originally from Hamilton, Ontario. Before joining CCB Olivia attended the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City for four years and graduated from the ballet trainee program in 2020. She also has attended summer programs with Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Ballet Kelowna, Boca Ballet theatre and others. Olivia enjoy drawing and working out when she's not dancing. This is her third season with CCB. |
Roxana Flores
she/her Born in Monterrey, Mexico. Roxana attended the Victoria Academy of Ballet, where she received her Professional Diploma in Dance under the direction of Bleiddyn del Villar Bellis. She has had the privilege of working with renowned choreographers such as Alysa Pires and John Alleyne. She recently performed as a soloist next to artist AP Dhillon, at Rogers Arena and Scotiabank Arena. This is Roxana’s first season with CCB |
Santiago Leudo
he/him/they Originally from the city of Medellín, Colombia. At the age of 15 he began to dance breakdancing and at the age of 17 he moved to the city of Bogotá to study dance at Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas During his 5 years, he participated in important dance festivals and danced in the most prestigious theatres in Bogota; He graduated in 2020 and entered the Coastal City Ballet in 2021 |
Sandra Mendiola
She/her Sandra Cecilia Estrada originally from Leon, Mexico, she graduated from the Cuban National Ballet School in 2022, as professional dancer has learned and performed several classical ballets excerpts, she also loves performing character and contemporary pieces. What she really likes about dancing and arts is to rediscover herself and express her own identity. |
Sarah collins
she/her Sarah began her dance training at Coastal Arts Academy in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. She studied several styles including ballet, contemporary, lyrical and jazz. In 2019 she participated in YAGP Seattle and again in 2020, scoring top 12 in the senior contemporary category. Sarah attended both the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and the Alberta Ballet school for their summer intensives. In 2022, she booked her first professional contract with Ballet Ouest in Montreal, Quebec for their Nutcracker season. Sarah looks forward to becoming a part of the CCB family! |
Tristen Oliphant
HE/him Originally born in Edmonton, Alberta, Tristen received education through the Bridge Professional Diploma Training Program at Victoria Academy of Ballet under direction of Bleidynn del Villar Bellis and Kerry-Lynn Turner. Once receiving his Diploma in Dance, he traveled to Pisa, Italy to train under the artistic direction of Walter Matteini and Ina Broeckx in the Professional Training Program through the imPerfect Dancers Company. This program gave him the opportunity to learn current season company repertoire created by renowned choreographer Walter Matteini and allowed him to create and develop new approaches to movement. This is Tristen’s first season with CCB. |
Karina Collins
she/her Karina Collins, from Langley, B.C, trained at Goh Ballet Academy. She was a gymnast for several years before starting ballet at twelve years old. Karina came to CCB in 2018, she then danced in the U.S with Oklahoma City Ballet and Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota and is excited to be back after recovering from a chronic injury |
Barbara Guerreiro
Barbara Guerreiro began her training in ballet in Brazil when she was 8 years old. Now, 23 she is a former company member of Coastal City Ballet where she danced many roles during her 4 seasons with the company. Now, graduated from Business School she works as a Social Media Manager and dances on her free time. |
guillaume Jeon
Guillaume was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, and his passion for movement has always triumphed over everything else. He is primarily a Rock Climber, but growing up with a sister who danced all her life, he has always admired the dedication and mastery that dance demands. This ballet is his first performance on a stage, and he has loved the process. |
MArsha Kwan
Marsha started her ballet training at the Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver at the age of 4 and graduated in 2019, after being a member of the Goh Ballet Youth Company for 3 seasons. She was freelance artist for 2 years and joined Coastal City Ballet in 2021, where she performed the role of the Stepmother in Irene Schneider’s full length production of Cinderella. Currently, Marsha is teaching and guesting with schools on Vancouver Island. She is thrilled to return to CCB as a guest for Sleeping Beauty. |
KAtherine Robidoux
Katherine was born in England, and grew up in Canada, Turkey and Japan. She started dancing at the age of three and has since had the opportunity to train across Canada, Europe and Asia. Katherine now teaches at PDA, and continues to dance in ballet and contemporary productions in Vancouver, most recently at Dancing on The Edge Festival in 2022 with Isak Enquist. She is looking forward to performing with CCB once again. |
