Company Audition Opportunities 

Coastal City Ballet is actively seeking talented ballet dancers with strong classical training for its company at all times. Dancers wishing to audition for Coastal City Ballet are welcome to apply for a company class audition at the Vancouver location studios. The artistic staff will consider each application for the company class audition and respond accordingly. 

Video auditions are also accepted in lieu of company class auditions, especially for dancers outside of of the Greater Vancouver area. Videos can be submitted via email.

Video Audition Guideline

I) The recording date must be shown on the video, and it should be within three months of application date. Applicant may send videos in popular video formats, or via YouTube links.

II) The video should be no longer than 15 minutes. Applicant must dressed in fitted dance clothes for all the exercises.

III) The exercises should contain:

Barre works including:

Center works including:

Female dancers must include: 
   
​Male dancers must include: 

​Plies and Adagio

Adagio, Pirouettes, petits and grand Allegro

​A pointe combinations
​
A combination including Tour en l’air

IV) All applicants may include: (Optional):

​A classical variation on pointe A contemporary solo

​A classical variation
A contemporary solo
Some classical pas de deux works

V) The video should also includes a full body still shot of the applicant with face clearly visible.

VI) A recent dance bio, including applicant’s date of birth, mailing address, nationality and a copy of recent headshot.
