Ana Helena Fabrin
she/her From Presidente Prudente, SP, Brazil. Ana started dancing when she was two years old, having most of her training at Escola de Danca Beth Liborio, where she achieved her professional/technical course in Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) until advanced 1 level. Through Promodanca, she received an offer to finish her training at Pacific DanceArts. The following year Ana joined CCB, and this is her 5 th season with us. Besides dancing, she has a bachelors degree in physical education and Personal Training. Ana also likes to spend her free time with her family watching movies, walking in parks and hiking. |
Anna Robinson
she/her Anna was born in Samut Prakarn, Thailand. She came to Canada when she was almost 2 years old, and is turning 21 this upcoming August. Anna started dancing when she was 5 years old and became a Deas Island Dance alumni in 2020. Anna successfully completed all the levels of the Royal Academy of Dance Examinations. She furthered her studies, as she became a registered teacher with her Classical Ballet Technique Studies diploma, through the RAD. She competed locally and at a provincial level with solos, trios and group work for numerous years, and went on to placing 16th in British Colombia and Alberta with her classical solo in 2015. Anna participated in the Opening Ceremonies Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Games and received the Irena Reid Memorial Scholarship with the Vancouver Ballet Society. She is now entering her 3rd season with Coastal City. |
Alondra Epigmenio
she/her Alondra is originally from Cancun, Mexico and is a dedicated and passionate ballet dancer who graduated from Ballet Concierto Cancun through her career she had had the honor to perform in one of the most prestigious theaters in Mexico, the Palacio de Bellas Artes as well as, working with different choreographers from around the world. She's very excited to see what new challenges and choreographies are waiting for her in the new season. And overall looking forward to improving her skills as a dancer. |
Bridget Crawford
she/her Bridget was born and raised in Richmond, British Columbia. She trained at her local dance studio Defy Gravity Dance Company, where she studied numerous styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, lyrical, and hip hop. Bridget competed in many dance competitions growing up and has received multiple awards for both solo and group performances. In 2018, she was also selected to participate in the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Awards. After graduating in 2020, Bridget joined Coastal City Ballet for the 2021 fall season. Outside of dancing, Bridget is also simultaneously pursuing an undergraduate degree at UBC. |
Brontë Hansen
She/her Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, BC, Brontë has danced classical ballet since the age of four. While attending the Coast Academy of Dance, she trained in a variety of dance genres, including classical ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, and modern. In 2018, Brontë graduated from Coast Academy’s three-year Pre-Professional Program, receiving her Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Associates in Modern Theatre and Imperial Classical Ballet, as well as being awarded distinction in her ISTD Advanced 2 modern and ballet exams. Brontë’s performance opportunities over the years include playing Clara in the inaugural year of Coasting Along Theatre Society’s The Nutcracker, under the direction of Kathleen Holmes. Brontë performed for eight seasons in a number of soloist roles, including Ballerina Doll, Arabian Lead and the Dew Drop Fairy. In 2019, she took on the role of Ballet Mistress, working under Artistic Director Kathleen Holmes, and had the opportunity to choreograph for several roles in The Nutcracker. She danced for numerous years in the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts and performed with Coast Academy’s Pre-Professionals in the Source Dance Company’s preview performances in Sechelt, BC. Brontë has been a faculty member of the Coast Academy of Dance for the last five years, where she taught classical ballet, pointe, tap, contemporary, and modern, as well as choreographing pieces for their pre-professional program. It's with great excitement that she begins her first year with Coastal City Ballet this fall! |
Cassandra Lai
She/Her Cassandra was born in Malaysia. She started dancing at the age of 4 studying the syllabus of Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). At the age of 10, she joined her first competition with the Youth Asian Grand Prix in Hong Kong. While studying the RAD Syllabus, she joined multiple competitions around Malaysia and Singapore which includes CSTD Malaysia, RAD Singapore, and other Hong Kong Competitions. In 2017, Cassandra moved to Victoria, Australia and she studied a full-time professional dancing course with the National Ballet School in 2019. She graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Elite Performance certification in 2020. In 2021, she joined the World Ballet Competition and was awarded as a finalist. She started her teaching career from 2021 onwards and continued to further her teaching experience by studying the Certification of Ballet Teaching Studies with RAD. She will be graduating in 2024 as a registered RAD teacher. |
Daniel Lugo
He/him BORN AND RAISED IN MERIDA, YUCATAN, MEXICO, DANIEL STARTED HIS TRAINING WITH BALLET, JAZZ AND HIP-HOP AT ACADEMIA DE DANZAS MILNE AT THE AGE OF 11. HE MOVED AWAY FROM HIS FAMILY AT THE AGE OF 14 TO CONTINUE HIS TRAINING IN BALLET AND CONTEMPORARY AT VICTORIA ACADEMY OF BALLET. AFTER TRAINING FOR 5 YEARS WITH VICTORIA ACADEMY OF BALLET HE GRADUATED THIS PAST YEAR FROM THE BRIDGE POST-SECONDARY PROGRAM. DANIEL HAS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH FARLEY JOHANSSON, CONSTANCE COOKE, ANGELA MOUSSEAU, JOHN ALLEYNE, AND SEVERAL OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK WITH ALYSA PIRES (ALYSA PIRES DANCE PROJECTS) IN BOTH GROUP PIECES AND COLLABORATING FOR SOLO PIECES. DANIEL IS VERY INTERESTED IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BALLET AND CONTEMPORARY AND HOW TO APPLY “CONTEMPORARY” CONCEPTS TO BALLET AND VICE VERSA; SEEING IN HOW MANY DIFFERENT WAYS SOMEONE CAN APPROACH THE SAME MOVEMENT AND HOW THAT WOULD CHANGE THE OUTCOME AND INTENTION TO IT. |
Ezra Polderman
She/her Ezra Polderman is a 19-year-old Dutch ballet dancer with a strong background in classical ballet. She began her professional training at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where she built a solid technical foundation. Upon graduation, Ezra continued to refine her skills at the Paris Marais Dance School Conservatoire, broadening her artistic expression. Now excited to join Coastal City Ballet, Ezra is eager to bring her passion and dedication to the international stage, continuing her journey as a professional dancer with a focus on artistry, technique, and performance. |
Guillermo Gonzales
he/him This is his third season with Coastal City Ballet, where he had performed as Hilarion in Giselle production as well as the Peasant Pas del deux and Blue Bird Pas del deux in The Sleeping Beauty. His repertoire includes known classical solos, several pas del deux, contemporary and neoclassical pieces. Before joining CCB he learned and trained at The Dance Company of the State of Mexico, the Cuban National Ballet School and the School of Fine Arts in Toluca, Mexico. |
João Gonçalves
he/him ORIGINALLY FROM THE STATE OF SAO PAULO, BRAZIL. HE BEGAN HIS TRAINING AT KLEINE SZENE WHERE HE GRADUATED IN 2019. HE PARTICIPATED IN SEVERAL COMPETITIONS IN HIS COUNTRY AND WAS REWARDED WITH SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE UK. ITALY AND THE UNITED STATES FOR THE BEST CLASSICAL BALLET STUDY PROGRAMS. HE HAS EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN THE VAGANOVA METHOD AND PAS DE DEUX, AS WELL AS IN THE MODALITIES OF AMERICAN TAP DANCE, JAZZ, NEOCLASSICAL AND CONTEMPORARY. WITH CCB HE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO INTERPRET PRINCE DESIRÉ IN SLEEPING BEAUTY(2023) ,SOLOR IN LA BAYADÈRE(2023) AND ALBRECHT IN GISELLE(2024). IT IS HIS THIRD SEASON WITH COASTAL CITY BALLET. |
Julianna Hanch
She/her When she was three, Julianna started dance lessons at a local dance studio in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and hip hop and competed in national and international competitions. Julianna has competed in the Youth American Grand Prix and the Universal Ballet competition, winning multiple awards and invitations to the finals and receiving several scholarships. She continued her training while attending a summer intensive program at Orlando Ballet, where she was promoted as a Trainee. She later returned to Canada and joined Coastal City Ballet for an excerpt of La Bayadere, a contemporary piece named “Lull,” and the full production of Giselle. This is Julianna's second season with CCB. |
Karin Seiki
she/her Originally from Japan, Yamaguchi. Graduated from Austrian ballet school Tokyo. She performed many classical and company's repertoire in Austrian ballet company Tokyo. After that she danced as a trainee at American repertory ballet in NJ and performed Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Paquita and also a big range of contemporary work. |
Manuel Sandoval
he/him Originally from Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, Manuel began his dance training at the age sixteen by exploring Graham Technique. He furthered his passion for dance by inquiring in different styles of dance such as ballet (Vaganova and Cecchetti method), jazz, modern, and contemporary. Manuel graduated from the Post-secondary Bridge Program at Victoria Academy of Ballet, under the direction of Kerrylynn Turner, in 2024, where he discovered a deepest interest in Ballet, Contact Improvisation, Contemporary dance, choreography and how to blend these techniques with other dance approaches and styles |
Roxana Flores
she/her Born in Monterrey, Mexico. Roxana attended the Victoria Academy of Ballet, where she received her Professional Diploma in Dance under the direction of Bleiddyn del Villar Bellis. She has had the privilege of working with renowned choreographers such as Alysa Pires and John Alleyne. She performed as a soloist next to artist AP Dhillon, at Rogers Arena and Scotiabank Arena. This is Roxana’s third season with CCB. |
Santiago Leudo
he/him/they Originally from the city of Medellín, Colombia. At the age of 15 he began to dance breakdancing and at the age of 17 he moved to the city of Bogotá to study dance at Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas During his 5 years, he participated in important dance festivals and danced in the most prestigious theatres in Bogota; He graduated in 2020 and entered the Coastal City Ballet in 2021 |
Sheryl Hung
She/her Originally from Taiwan, Sheryl discovered her love for ballet at first sight. This passion led her to Canada in 2004, marking the beginning of her ballet journey. She trained at Dance In Motion in Abbotsford before moving to Vancouver, where she graduated from the Goh Ballet Academy. Sheryl toured with the Royal City Youth Ballet Company, performing in The Nutcracker, and participated in summer intensives with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. For the past three years, she has danced with the Royal Principal Ballet Academy, where she completed the Advanced 1 RAD Ballet Exam and performed in Swan Lake, Paquita, Jewels, Études, and The Nutcracker. In addition to her passion for ballet, Sheryl is a dedicated musician and educator with a B.Mus. in Harp Performance from UBC, specializing in early childhood music education. For the past decade, she has loved performing in the orchestra as a harpist while teaching music and preschool ballet. Sheryl is excited to be a part of Coastal City Ballet for her first season! |
Sophie Werdal
She/her Originally from Vancouver, BC, Sophie has trained under the Royal Academy of Dance ballet since age four. She danced at Cameron Dance Academy, Dance Collective and Tri-City Dance Centre completing her RAD exams and studying for her Solo Seal exam in 2024. Sophie has danced in productions of The Nutcracker and Copellia and participated in international and local competitions earning scholarships and opportunities to represent different festivals at Provincials in the Ballet level three and Provincial Excellence levels. Sophie is thrilled to have the privilege to dance with the Coastal City Ballet. |
